Following his hospitalization, an employee of the facility (who claimed to have been looking out for my father) started texting and calling me. She advised me that my father was receiving inadequate care, that another employee was abusive to patients and that the facility was unsanitary. ECOLI IS TRANSMITTED IN UNSANITARY ENVIRONMENTS. The employee then attempted to leverage me for money. It was classic: “I am going to look out for your father. He is not being treated well. I need money.. Let me hold a few dollars.” The employee actually sent text messages asking for money. The Director of the facility was advised of the employee’s conduct. When he was advised, he stated on a teleconference with almost ten witnesses that the employee attempted to leverage me because I was “successful” without accepting responsibility for the employee’s conduct. Unsanitary environment, telephones that don’t work (even though you are charged for them), etc. Since the visitation restrictions were imposed 14 months ago, I am concerned that the quality of care has declined.
